Ask HN: Is your kids Alexa now have conversational AI?

I had a very locked down kids Alexa for my daughter that could just play music and stories and was age restricted. Today though its now a conversational AI and my daughter is talking to it like a human. How can I disable this? How the heck did they opt-in to this?
